Data Deletion Request

Social Inbox respects your right to control your data. This page explains how to request deletion of your Social Inbox account and associated information.

This page is provided in accordance with Meta Platform Terms and applicable data protection regulations.

Meta Platform Data Deletion

You may revoke Social Inbox access at any time via:

Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations → Remove App

Once access is revoked:

  • New data synchronization immediately stops
  • Stored data will be deleted according to the timeline below

What Data Will Be Deleted

  • Account information (email, name, login credentials)
  • Connected accounts (OAuth tokens and platform connections)
  • Temporarily cached message data
  • Usage logs and analytics data
  • Account preferences and settings
  • Subscription account-level information

Note: Payment transaction records may be retained as required by applicable accounting and tax laws.

What We Cannot Delete

  • Messages stored directly on Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp (must be deleted through those platforms)
  • Data processed by third-party providers such as Stripe
  • Records we are legally required to retain

How to Delete Your Data

1. Delete Through the App (Recommended)

Log in to your account → Settings → Account → Delete Account.

This immediately initiates the deletion process.

2. Email Request

Send an email to support@socialinbox.ca

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Include your registered email address.

Requests are processed within 30 days.

Deletion Timeline

  • Immediate: Account deactivated and logged out
  • Within 24 hours: Connected social accounts disconnected
  • Within 7 days: Cached message data purged
  • Within 30 days: Personal data permanently deleted

Backup Retention: Data may remain in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes. Backup data is not actively processed and is automatically overwritten during routine cycles.

You will receive a confirmation email once deletion has been completed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my account after deletion?

No. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Will my messages on Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp be deleted?

No. Messages remain on their respective platforms. Social Inbox only deletes data stored within our system.

What happens to my subscription?

Active subscriptions will be cancelled in accordance with our Terms of Service.

Can I disconnect platforms without deleting my account?

Yes. You can disconnect individual social accounts from your Settings page at any time.
